ESSA Performance Targets
With the implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), New Jersey has developed yearly performance targets, developed to show annual improvement from baseline data gathered from the 2015-16 school year towards the final performance targets that all schools must reach by the 2029-30 school year. These targets are 80% Proficiency in ELA and Mathematics (as measured by PARCC) and graduation rates of 95% within 4 years and 96% within 5 years. Yearly performance targets vary by school and subgroup within the school. Below you will find a link that outlines all school and district level targets between now and 2029-30.
