HS World Language
The students in Ms.Pierre’s French Classes celebrated the 3rd annual Culture Day celebration with projects focusing on authentic homemade food, languages, geography, and world history.
These high school students come from diverse backgrounds and each project celebrated diversity. Students brought in homemade family recipes, shared their dish with classmates, faculty and special guests, and shared its significance. In addition, students also presented a brief report about the history and the cultural traditions and practices in their family heritage. They were able to identify some of the ingredients included in their meals using learned French vocabulary. Furthermore, this project based learning assignment was also an effort to expand the awareness and respect of other cultures in our school, our town and in our country.
Students in Mrs. Granata Davis Spanish 2 class at Neptune High School are applying what they have learned about sentence structure and proper conjugation of the verbs through writing and reading.
