Summer Camp - NJ Children's System of Care - Behavorial ...

Find information about applying for Summer Camp reiumbursement for children and youth involved in NJ Children's System of Care.

A youth can be considered eligible for CSOC financial support toward Summer Camp tuition if all of the following conditions are met:

1.The youth is deemed eligible for CSOC developmental disability (DD) services.

2.The youth is under age 21 and will not turn 21 before the end of the camp dates selected for reimbursement.

3.The youth resides in his or her own home, with an uncompensated caregiver.

*Please note that children/youth do not have to be found eligible for Family Support Services to apply for financial support for summer camp tuition and one-to-one aide.

DCF continues to express their commitment to approve camp as long as the child/youth meet the above-stated criteria.

Youth are eligible for CSOC financial support toward Summer Camp tuition only during the time period in which they are not eligible to attend an extended school-year program.

It is strongly encouraged to submit the application via PerformCare Family Portal (online) instead of mail (paper-based). If submitted online, the application status can be checked via Portal. It takes significantly shorter time to review online applications compared with paper-based applications.

There are two requests for RFSPC members.

    1.       If you know any good inclusive camps, please encourage them register with DCF for the next year.

    2.       If you heard any feedback (both positive and negative), please send it to Mercedes/Rebekah/Kyoko. It will be shared with DCF Collaboration meetings on 4/19/17.
