Assessment Resources for Parents
The Neptune Township School District has developed and administered high quality assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts that are similar to the next generation of state standardized tests. The tests are given to evaluate achievement gaps in student learning in relation to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and help identify areas where targeted instruction is needed for individual students. A majority of students take the assessments three times a year (pre-test, midyear test, and post-test), depending on grade level. The assessments work as a tool for enhancing teaching and learning and assess the major content standards addressed in each grade level.
